SWK 850: Comparative Approaches To Social Work Research Quantitative Methods 3 credits This course provides students with the knowledge about scientific method, theory construction and the relationship of theory to research. Students learn to design a feasible and ethical research study and to write a research proposal. Various types of experimental , quasi- experimental and non-experimental designs are presented. To enroll, students must pass an examination on the basic knowledge of social science research that is required for the master’s degree in social work.
