SWK 690: Field Instruction I 4 credits SWK 690 comprises the first half of a yearlong 600 contact-hour field instruction internship completed during the first year of the M.S.W. program. The field instruction internship provides the experiential component of social work education in which students work directly with clients in a social agency under professional social work supervision. There is an emphasis on developing foundation skills for work with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
