The Office of Continuing Education, through the Adelphi University School of Social Work, now offers On-Site Professional Development, in an effort to bring much needed training and professional development to agencies across the New York City and Long Island Region.
Drawing from a wide range of expertise, this program is available to provide a variety of educational opportunities at the location of your choice, for your professional community. The impetus behind this initiative is to respond to growing economic crises that have limited the capacity of agencies to send its staff members to full-day workshops and conferences. These programs can be designed for all social service professionals, from front-line workers to advanced clinical practitioners.
Within the On-Site Professional Development Program, a training curriculum is designed to specifically to meet the needs of your audience. A plan is developed to address specific issues within your organization, and trainers with expertise in the area are identified and brought in to provide the trainings, in a format that is responsive to your scheduling needs. These agency-based trainings include a unique collection of topics that can address your agency’s mission and goals, improve motivation and build better teams. The trainings can be provided in half-day, full-day, monthly or other sequential segments. Our trainers are experts various disciplines within the Social Work Field, and have established relationships with the School.
