B.S.W. Program| Advanced M.S.W. Standing

Undergraduate social work students may apply to the Advanced Standing Program, which allows them to be admitted directly into the advanced (second) year of the Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree program, and complete it in one year of full-time study. Application to this 32-credit program should be made prior to completing the second semester of the senior year.

Eligibility for admission to the program includes: 

  • high academic achievement in social work courses (grades of B or better).
  • above-average field instruction performance.
  • minimum overall cumulative grade-point average of 3.0. 
Admission
Students applying to the Advanced Standing program must complete the same an application for graduate study.
