Erin Nau is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently providing individual and group counseling to breast cancer patients at the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.

She is passionate about the social work field, educating students as a field instructor and adjunct professor at the Adelphi University School of Social Work. She has spent her career working with various different populations, including clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses, families and adolescents. Empowering women and girls is her passion and has led to her research interests.

Her research is rooted in feminist theory, and asks the participants to be a full partner in the exploration of the construct of self-worth.
