A personalized approach for students on the go.

Adelphi University’s School of Social Work is deeply committed to serving diverse students through accessible, high quality social work education. Our new Hybrid M.S.W. program—a low-residency option that combines online coursework with brief periods on campus—is an innovative way for busy students to access our top-ranked master’s program.

The program offers the best of both worlds and a personalized approach for students on the go. Students have the convenience of completing their coursework online, on their own time, while balancing work and family responsibilities. They also receive individualized, in-person instruction from our dedicated faculty while connecting with their fellow students.

Rather than attending classes on a weekly or even monthly basis, students will participate in 10 days of intensive course instruction twice per year on campus (in January and August). They will also develop their practice skills through employment-based field placement or through our network of partnering health and human service agencies. The School’s field agency partners will offer students an enriching professional field education experience close to their homes.

With Adelphi’s Hybrid M.S.W. program, students will benefit from the same personalized attention and outstanding curriculum that have earned the Adelphi University School of Social Work a No. 38 ranking from U.S. News & World Report. They will graduate ready to advance in the field and enhance their professional practice.
