School of Social Work graduate students presented Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program with over $1700 dollars of much needed school supplies for their children.

On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, Adelphi University School of Social Work graduate students presented Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program with over $1700 dollars of much needed school supplies for their children. Each year the Adelphi University Graduate Student Association at the Hudson Valley Campus has a voting process to identify the students’ favorite local charity. This year it was Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program that won the vote by a landslide. The goal of the Graduate Student Association is to raise money for their favorite charity. Moreover, the Adelphi students raise awareness of the much needed services Astor’s Head Start program provides children at risk and those living in poverty in the Hudson Valley region.

The Adelphi University, Hudson Valley Center embraces a tradition of quality education with an emphasis on small classes, personalized attention and academic support to those who wish to pursue a Master of Social Work degree.
