Smacked by the Storm: How Long Island Can Recover From Its Opioid Crisis

Event

This program is based off the TEDxAdelphiUniversity 2017 talk by Jeffrey Reynolds, Ph.D., called “Smacked By the Storm: How LI Can Recover From Its Heroin Crisis,” which focused on the effects of addiction on individuals and families.

Dr. Reynolds will moderate interdisciplinary panels of experts who cover topics such as prevention, treatment and recovery.

The keynote address will be given by Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.

Adelphi University’s Department of Public Safety and Transportation will supervise an official drop-off location for expired medications at the event.
