Undergraduate Social Work Admissions

A strong foundation focused on knowledge, values and skills

Our undergraduate social work program prepares you for a generalist social work practice in the complex and varied social welfare and human services fields. Though freshmen and sophomores may declare social work as their major, the social work program actually begins during the junior year. You may apply during the spring semester of your sophomore year, following the advice of the program director and your faculty adviser.

**If you declared social work as your major during your freshman or sophomore year at Adelphi, you must meet with the director of the undergraduate program to review your academic progress as well as your motivation to pursue a career in social work. The director will advise you on your academic and career goals.
